You are probably going to think I'm crazy, but I was just looking for nightstands the other day for myself and it seems there were a lot on ebay and amazon...smaller ones too. Have you tried that?

William do you have specific needs in mind for a nightstand- does it need drawers, shelves or just a place to put a lamp and a clock? The reason I ask is that anything can be a nightstand provided it is high enough. Think outside the box and look at all smaller tables that fit your criteria and you will find lots of options!

I'd keep a cell phone, lamp and drink on it at the very least. Having at least one drawer would be nice as well.

That's a pretty basic look. What's your price range?

There is no real price range, it just needs to look good and be of good quality :)

AA Laun makes solid maple furniture, I have their "LOFT" series tables in my house and am very pleased with the quality. They make a very narrow end table that might work nicely as a night stand. You can find dealers everywhere.... I actually ended up ordering my pieces online when I found the right color/style. Lots of options to choose from.

overstock.com may have some that are similar in style. you may have to change the hardware, but that's usually an easy fix. Not sure where you live, but sometimes the unfinished wood stores have simple solid wood furniture. you could paint or stain to match your other furniture.
Also look at apartment therapy They have small option ideas. Custom home planning above has a good idea as far as the floating nightstand that's attached to the wall. But wasn't sure if you needed something with more underneath. I wouldn't feel like you have to match your other furniture in your room completely as far as style though. Just make it the same color if you want it to look more uniform. Also think outside the box on this....maybe just look at small tables or plant stands that have a drawer. Could work as a nightstand as well. Or ask a carpenter or cabinet maker to make you some with your specific size and drawer count! :)

my design has a power outlet cover behind the one drawer and a grommet in the top for power cords and the floating night stand is a clear winner when it comes to style for a reasonable price (see above listed furniture shop web site.)
