My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

    Where is the DVD player hidden? We also want to place TV above fireplace due to lack of wall space but don't know what to do about DVD and other electronics?

    we find that the height works quite well. it is about 4'9" off the floor ..

    Our TV is also mounted above our fireplace at just under five feet off the ground. You will need to use a mounting bracket that allows you to slightly tip the TV forward for proper viewing. As for the DVR or a cable box or any other equipment, there are infrared sensors available that allow you to place the equipment/boxes in a nearby cabinet, closet or even in another room. No ugly cords or equipment in sight :-). These are readily available, even on Amazon. We had our installation done professionally as our TV is large and heavy. In addition, we wanted a clean, wireless appearance.
