You are not far from Yucca-Do in Hampstead. I'd suggest a visit.

The various forms of Salvia mexicana would work for you, also S. madrensis and S. regla. S. guaranitica Van Remsen form also.

Yucca Do has changed their mix no Salvias at all. Lots
of agave's Zepranthes either Xeric or bulbs. There should
be some Nurseries in Magnolia or Conroe that carry some of the above plants. If not you may have to take a drive to
Houston.I would look at Buchanan's Native Plant Nursery they
have a website to go to to check inventory or contact them. Will Flemming up in Tomball may be another place to call also. They should get headed in the right direction.

the arbor gate, here in tomball, said indigo spires would
be great for my conditions/needs, but they don't have any
in yet
