Have I hung the mirror too low?

We have a Victorian house with high ceilings and I've just hung the mirror, but worried it's too low.

It looks fine to me. I think I would be tempted to add a shelf the same width below it. A couple of pretty glass candlesticks to compliment your gorgeous light fitting, and the light would twinkle beautifully back into the room.

I don't think it's too low, but I think it could maybe go a few inches higher if you want.

I agree with Jan, your mirror is fine but it looks lonely. A shallow shelf below it with seasonal decorations could be beautiful!

Do you want the chandy to reflect in it? You can lower the chandy instead. Needs something over the rad like a table with a beautiful floral arrangement. An area rug to fill the space might be nice.

It looks perfect from the picture angle as far as I can tell. It won't seem as low once you have an open bottom buffet or console table under it.

I agree...with that shape of mirror it does look lonely. I would raise it a few inches and add a shelf with a couple accessories.

Or....you could turn the mirror vertically, and hang a wall vase on the straight side.

Very nice mirror, would a radiator cover work to disguise the radiator and to give the space some interest with some decorative item/s on it? Maybe stained or painted to match the frame?

HI -- I think the mirror is perfect just add a marble shelf on some wrought iron brackets . You could probably get a remnant piece from a stone / tile shop. The reason for the marble is it will take the heat from the rad and not block it.

I would hang it a wee bit higher, and angle the top out, let the top of the mirror hang and angle down to the floor, it will give a nice perspective. Very nice mirror :)

Just a note, and maybe you have done this already, but as a rule or shall we say a guideline. You hang art at 5'6" (average eye level) from the center of the mirror or art to the floor. I find this helps as a starting point.
