I bought some seeds last month and they look like tiny orange/brown colored slivers or specs. Very fine looking. Not at all what I expected. I can try and send a pic to you of mine if you would like. Just let me know~Heather

Yup,they're dust like. Pretty easy to grow from seed too but after 3 yrs.I have large plants(3-4 ft.) w/ just a spattering of blooms this year. Not for the "Instant gradification" gardener.Maybe patience will pay off next year and they'll bloom profusely.

I pulled the 'husk' of the blooms off. There were intact/whole. Broke open, looked as if maybe an isect had 'eaten' what might have been seed. Was worried. Just saw these 'strand'/slivers' of what I thought the insect hadn't eaten. WHEW!!!!!! Good to know these are the actual seeds.

Consider what I just got told when I asked why it took so long to grow rosemary from seed. You're growing a woody shrub. It's not like a flower. I just took some old flowers off my mock orange and saw those little slivers also. So maybe I did get seeds after all. But I get your frustration bc I have a wisteria which are famous for growing fast and mine seems to be taking its time. Technically nurseries shouldn't sell a wisteria not 3 years old, so I don't know why its taking so long to flower. I think each plant is different. I do know that Nitrogen will get you lots of green and phosphorous gets you blooms. Also I started a Hirt's Night Blooming Jasmine. It took 4 years to bloom. I had to threaten it and it bloomed. I put it under the shade of a Maple tree, rest of the year it lives in the house and gets plenty of light and heat. But sometimes these shrubs just need a gentle push, or not so gentle. 4 years on a jasmine. Really?
