Am growing some Uncle David's Dakota Dessert Squash, four inches off along a wood fence, and was wondering if I need to stake/trellis them. It supposedly is same size and and appearance of a "buttercup" and the original cross included Hubbard and Gold Nugget.

Will these support themselves like spaghetti squash does ? Thanks in advance.
