maple cabinets and wood floors

the home i just bought is perfect in every way except the kitchen cabinets are maple. The home was 90% finished I am doing the finsih work, which is great but i feel like hardwood floors dont loook good with maple cabinets...what color do i stain the floors....

Maple can be stained in many different colors. Is it natural maple? Do you have a picture of the cabinet color? I would go darker than the cabinets so that it does not look like you tried to match and missed. If you don't care for them, maple cabinets paint wonderfully since they have so little grain to the wood.

In most cases the floors would be stained darker than the cabinets so it visually grounds the room.
