hello, I am in nw Tn. and i have found that the best way to keep out coons is to plant tater pumkins or some other vineing winter squash all around the corn and the coons will stay out. they do not like to step into all the vines not sure what you could do for this years crop but next year give it a try it really works

I used to have luck dusting the ears with baby powder just as the coons are becoming interested in them. Of course, that's not going to work if you have an acre of corn to protect.......

My dad fenced his garden with an electric fence but again, if you have acres, that gets pretty expensive. I trapped them last year in a haveaheart trap and released them way far away (7 in all). I haven't seen any this year - fingers crossed.
