kitchen island help

regarding the island that is near the table.....does that have an overhang on the other side for bar stools? i have a long galley kitchen with a family room at the end of it. i was thinking of doing as this article suggests, buy 2 24" cabinets, side by side so the cabinets can be accessed from the kitchen and bar stools on the other side????? any ideas?

This is exactly the use of this eating island...I jokingly call it the feeding island...great place for the kids, keeping them close but yet out of the way. Good luck with your remodel.

wondering what is on the other side of this kitchen? You have starting at the bay of 2 windows: a dining area, 2 islands, then what beyond the island with the sink in it? A family room perhaps? what is on the wall opposite the stove?
I am planning to open my kitchen like this and would love to see the blueprint of this home.
