obvioulsy I didn't do it right. Maybe someone can give a lesson?

When you go to Photobucket, the 4 dropdowns for each photo are:
Email and IM
Direct Link
HTML Code
IMG Code

Put your cursor on the photo until these four choices show, and then put your cursor on "HTML Code." Left click to highlight it blue, and then right click to select "Copy"

Then go to your Gardenweb post, and right click on your message where you want the photo to appear and hit "Paste." That should do it. The photo won't appear on your message until you hit "Preview Message."

you used vB code, it doesnt display in this forum, you have to use plain HTML, like so

photobucket gives you this code to copy (its longer because the code makes the image into a hyperlink to their website)

youre trees seem to be in a dooryard setting with wind protection. this helps alot.

thanks for the help. I am in Zephyrhills, Fl in Pasco County (33541). The backyard is surrounded (except north side) by 6' pvc fencing. The north side of the property has some large oaks. Underneath I planted a tight row of viburnum with the idea to buffer any southward winds.

Here is a pic of the COTRG. It got 20 degrees here and I never protected him with anything. It had a small very early set of blooms on the back side which died, but other than that there is really no damage:
