It looks fine, just have sucked too much water into the seed and that's why you see the splitting, nothing wrong with it. I ate a bunch of fresh lychee last year and soaked the seeds in water for several days, might even have been a week long. A guy had asked for some seeds, so I sent all of them to him, needless to say, he said they started to germinate a few days after planting them up in pots and even several were already sprouting/germinating in the mail. So yours should be fine as is in that picture and should germinate soon. Good luck growing them, they make nice house plant if anything, you would still have to prune it, as it can get very large even inside of a house.

thank you forthe reply. I have planted them in John innes number 2 (loan based soil) in green house and next lot I do will be indoors.

and that sounds fantastic I can normally get seeds to grow. but this is new.
