I have two Mango tree whips planted this last fall, a Rosigold and a Tebow. They are both determined to try to bear fruit this year. I prefer instead that they spend the year growing a strong cannopy of branches. My question is should I pick off the small fruit forming and leave the panticles in place or prune the panticles themselves off so that branches can replace them?
Below are a few pictures taken this morning so you can see exactly what I mean. My goal for these two trees is to get a decent branch structure started this year whats the best way to do that?
Thanks,
Tony
