Such an open ended question, CompostWorm.....try to be a little more specific as to what you need. I've you've never grown anything before, this could be a challenging project...what have you grown before?

yea, the wuestion is rather vague and general

but, if i were to start over again, i would do a couple of things different.
i would plant beneficial plants, including nitrogen fixers a few feet from my fruit trees.

1- legumes/ nitro fixers
ice cream bean", which is one i am looking for now, is vey tasty, and adds N to the soil.

2 - comfrey + Dandelion to condition the soil, pulling nutrients from down deep and putting it in leaves to use as compost.

3 - native flowering plants to bring in beneficial insects...
