Well, it really does depend. How big is the pot?, how warm is it?, how much sun is it getting?, how humid?, etc. When I move mine outside for the growing season, I do water every day(unless it's rained that day). I may skip the occasional day, but I really don't worry about overwatering in the summer. In the winter, I cut way back on the watering and let them get rather dry between watering. Mangos naturally come from regions that experience seasonal cycles of rain and drought, so I figure I am reproducing its natural environment,

For what it's worth,I am pretty new to the mango growing thing. Here is a picture of my potted Mango that I planted last September. In the winter I watered it every 3 to 5 days when the weather is above 70 degrees. During this drought that we are in I water every other day.I have it planted in a 20 Inch pot in a very fast draining mix.

It's a Glenn mango. According to a book that I purchased from Miami Fairchild Tropical Garden by Richard Campbell, you are suppose to be able to keep it under 8 ft (with selective pruning). Only time will tell...

Once again you have a beautiful tree, not a hint of any kind of problems at all. Makes me want one now. I got tons of seedlings that I am considering just finding any spots in the yard to fill and then worry about grafting them over later. =)
