Kiwano Not Flowering!

Hi--I have been growing a kiwano in my Aerogarden since about the beginning of February and it is huge but it isn't flowering at all! I'm wondering if it is getting some kind of nutrient deficiency--I'm wondering if it isn't getting enough light, specifically, because I have it in a dark corner of my room and the leaves and vine sections toward the bottom of the plant turn yellow, then brown, then dry out pretty quickly. The stalk looks pretty healthy--the vines that I have grown in a soil medium in the past were much thinner, whereas the base of this vine is about twice the circumference of a pencil... Anyway, is there anything I can be doing to force it to flower? Like if I put part of the vine and an apple in a plastic bag together will that do anything?
I didn't keep track of the time it took my last vine to start flowering, but I think it was faster than this... hmm. I want some fruit!!
