Hello! I am in process of buying a new home with some land in the Williamsburg/Toano area and want to recreate an heirloom rose garden like the one I had in Mississippi. Some parts of the property are somewhat poorly drained and other parts are fine (as far as I can tell yet). Has anyone experience with The Swamp Rose? Thought it might work in some of the more poorly drained areas. ??? My favorites from my old garden were -- Louis Philipe, The Chestnut Rose, Veilchenblau, Fantin-Latour, Buff Beauty, Lady Banks, Mrs. Cant, Nachitoches Noisette, Autumn Sunset etc... Wondering if most of them will do well in Virginia. ??? Thanks for any recommends. :)
