calling north tree man

North- as you can tell from my screen name, I am obsessed with lychees (every May I spend about $300 on fresh lychees in chinatown) . Like you, I live in zone 6-7. I have just installed an indoor super spectrum lighting hookup so that i can try and overwinter tropical and subtropical fruit trees without them dying in our freezing temperatures. so far, i only have a brewster lychee and a couple of citrus trees- which after 3-4 weeks under the lights- r doing great so far- if they do well throughout the winter, i will order some more tropical trees in spring and put my lighting system on a mechanized track so that i can increase the number of plants i have under the light.

how do you over-winter your lychees plants- which varities do you have- have you gotten any of them to fruit? do you have any pics of your plants
