Don't forget to drill lots of holes in the bottom of your new bin to ensure proper drainage. :)

I knew this would generate some humor! anyway I am building up the boat to take advantage of the bilge area as much as possible, I plan to build in a cooler area and a small area possibly for worms with a drain in it for the lechate. I don't think I would use the boat often enough to keep worms in it regularly, (then again, I have not had a boat before, I may use it more than I think) there is already a 7/8" drain in the back of the boat at the bottom of the bilge, I don't think I will add "ventilation" holes to the bottom... I may actually want to use this boat for it's intended purpose... floating.

I don't mean to be mysterious, I got this boat in trade for some heat pump work I did recently, and when Cleaning it out, I found all the worms. I want to use the boat for recreation on the lake. the idea of putting in a worm bin was not mine. I just think it may be easier on the worms if they have a bin to play in before they become bait... these worms were already in the boat, they apparently eat the leaves that fall in the boat from the tree that was above it. I think they are regular earthworms, as they are lots bigger than the reg wigglers I got in my inside bins. I dind't know earthworms could survive out of the ground. this boat has not been in the water in over 2 years. it has been on a trailer, and they seem happy to me.
