I've got a 21' x 45' area (945 sq/ft) that will consist of 7 raised beds, each of which are 3' x 15'. The rest of the space will be walkway with mulch.

Should I do landscape fabric throughout the entire area (945 sq/ft)? Or just in the walkways? Or not at all?

Even the cheapest option for buying the fabric will be over $100, with many being upwards of $200-300.

But with each bed being 8" deep with dirt, and the walkways having 3" of mulch on them...will fabric even be worth it?

Anything else I should look in to?
