Kill wintercreeper...HOW?

I moved into a house that has Euonymus fortunei along the back fence line. Very big, very established, impossible to remove. But I'm okay with it. What I'm NOT okay with is the thousands of seedlings everywhere in my yard. One area is pretty much a solid mass (think of a 10ft bush three inches high). I mow and just gives it a haircut. Nothing kills it.

I did the Scots thing on the lawn and all the dandelions are dying, but not the wintercreeper. So I got out the Roundup. Did it on a nice warm sunny day, too. Two weeks later I hit it with Roundup again. Nothing's killing these suckers.

I don't mind pulling up the few that are in established beds. But the ones in my lawn are awful. And one area I want to turn into a shade bed but I don't have enough stamina to rip out that much of it!

What should I do? Does anything kill this stuff?
