I'm in NYC. I park my car at lots around the city. For the last few years, i've been noticing a giant weed growing out of the asphalt at a few of the park lots. I'll include a pic of a piece I broke off and photoed. The plant grows giant! Up to ten twelve feet high. Looks a little like a cross between sunflower and castor, but is neither. Sturdy hollow stalk. Anybody id it? i'ld like to grow it on my country property as an oddity because of its size. I love large and unusual plants. I've been trying Gunerra Manicatta for years. Only get it to go in pots. I also do castors,palms, bananas, fig, brugs, ect..all in lower NY zone.
