Becky, Congratulations. Bluebirds are a lot of fun to watch and they'll eat all the bugs. Lisa is right. The wooden post will allow predators (racoons and snakes) to climb it and kill the parents and/or the young. Most people don't think they have either until they find out the hard way. As soon as the babies are born, the smell and noise will attract predators. You can move it to a metal pole with a baffle without upsetting the process. Once they are bonded to the box (with a nest and eggs) they will stick with it even if you move it. Check out that website for more information.
