Compare with Epipactis helleborine. A rare native orchid in the British Isles. An introduced alien in the US.

Thank you! Looks like a dead ringer. Google search says to just pull it out. That is impossible. The stalk is brittle and snaps off very eaisly even when digging leaving the root ball which just regrows. The root ball is also deep making it hard to get to with tree roots, ect.

How do I kill it off?!?!

Argh!!!!

It makes me weep to see it pulled up but I know it's an invasive species in the US. I don't know why it is struggling to survive in its natural habitat over here.
