Hi,

I have about 5 yellow nutsedge plants growing in my garden that i haven't pulled because i thought they were pretty and wanted to identify them first.

Curiously, they have dead flies on them, does anyone know why?

Each plant has about four or five dead housefly looking bugs (they are green irridescent flies) that are stuck to the plant's leaves or in the burr-like flowers.

is this common? why?
