Look like an ipomoea. A morning glory or spanish flag. Unless it is strangling your shrub, I would wait and see if you like the flower. That's my guess.

Bindweed is a cousin to morning glory. If you don't get beautiful blooms soon pull it out quick. Looks like what I've been pulling out all summer along my fence line in Nebraska. They proliferate faster than rabbits during a full moon, spreading seed in every direction. Tough as nails. Pull it up by the root--start at the root, not the other end. My morning glory leaves are twice as large as the bindweed.

The leaves say Ipomoea.
