Weed ID / Control - Pine Seedling? Haircap Moss?

I have a weed sprouting like crazy in my enclosed (but roofless) atrium garden, but I'm not sure what it is. Best I can tell, it's either some kind of pine seedling, or maybe a haircap moss? I've attached an image. Anyone who can help me identify and / or control these buggers would earn my eternal gratitude!

Looks like a pine to me. Pull them before they're larger and have an extensive root system.

Not a moss because it has a hard root system. I would also advise pulling if you do not have room for a tree.

Another plant that looks like a pine seedling when young is a yew. I was looking forward to having another pine tree but as it grew I could tell it was a seedling yew.

Could it be horsetail? It spreads by underground root runners. Looks like a pine sapling, too.

Jane, it could be one of the equisetums. (And baby pine trees are pretty soft.)
