Hi Tabatha, I'm glad you found Gardenweb! You'll love it here and make many new friends I'm sure.

This Forum is for Round Robins, read the FAQs (frequently asked questions) to understand exactly what we do on this one.

There are so many different Forums but you may want to start with House Plants if that's what you'd like or have to offer and Plant Exchange is another good one and if you don't have lots to trade you can check out the seed exchange, there is nearly always someone there offering free seeds for a SASBE (self addressed stamped bubble envelope). Sometime you will also find people on the plant exchange offering plants for postage. Also, check out the winter sowing Forum so you can see what to do with all those free seeds you'll be getting so you can grow them to trade with in the spring.

Good luck and have a great time!

Hi Tabatha - I'm sorry for your losses. Gardening will certainly help keep your mind off of things. If you'd like to send me a sasbe I'd be happy to send you a little care package. I have some 4 oclocks to send you, too! Sorry - I don't do the houseplant thing but can fix you up with some perennial seeds. Just drop me an email if you're interested.

    Hi, Tab--

I truly feel for you...I lost my paternal grandmother--with whom I was EXTREMELY close--last January (never knew either of my DGf's, one passed before I was born, the other when I was only 2 or 3, and my maternal DGm when I was still very young). She was roughly 3 weeks from reaching her 93rd b-day. Now, 10 months later, I still catch myself thinking, "I need to call grandmother....", and then remember. She was born and raised in the country, but the city had sorta grown up around her home, so she loved and looked forward to, coming down to my place (11 miles from the nearest town of 16M) to stay for a week or so. We'd visit and just spend time together while she was here. She left me with very fond memories and priceless wisdom about gardening--and about the world and life, in general. It's queer to me how the world was so different when she was a young woman, but, at the same time, very much the same as it is now...

A-a-nyway...I'll be happy to share with you if you'll privately e-mail me your address...Lord knows I've got plenty of seeds *grin*...

    Best regards,
    Cheryl
