Tender annuals actually do pretty good if you clip off excessive leaves and store the container in an attached garage or unheated basement. They should go dormant over the winter and you can bring them out again around Mother's day or so. Good Luck

i over-wintered million bells in a cooler back room. Watered sparingly, brought it out in the early spring. It survived, but looked straggly.

Well, I'm assuming ya got one...so just give it a go...let us know how you do...:)

All-Thanks for the responses, I am gonna try it. Will let you know how it goes, gonna try the attached garage, if my husband can find me some room.....why is that there is always room for a new power tool?

I live in ohio and I too am trying to winter over a million bell because i paid way too much and its such a great plant . Im cutting out the dead spots and watering once a week . I fertilized it once so far ,which didnt seem to make much of a difference .

I had also heard that million bells could be wintered over so am curious to know the outcome for those who are trying. I am wintering a number of foliage container plants that make pretty good winter house plants for us cold people. They are plectranthus Troy's Gold, pelargonium Palace Crystal Gem, abutilon Voodoo and Gold Dust, the purple leaf oxalis and an euphorbia, not Snowflakes but similar. Even if you just get an extra season out of them, you have cut your costs in half. Yes, I'm cheap!
