Scientists should get hazard pay

I've heard about some of these deaths. This list is a little disturbing. I haven't seen any speculation of causes of these deaths under ...

Here is a link that might be useful: suspicious circumstances

I think any list of deceased is disturbing but not as much disturbing as this illogical array.

PS, the faculties of arts and law and other non-science fields have also been the focus of both assassinations and kidnappings over the past few years in Iraq. Secularlists among them have had much to fear from the nutters (and Israeli intelligence? of course!)

I could probably draw up a long list of deaths both natural and accidental (and others suspiciously so) for politicians, former drum majorettes, and former SCUBA divers.

Good points Marshall. I looked at the referring web site after posting the topic. Conspiracy theories are their primary focus. It's affliated with Coast to Coast, so aliens from outer space are probably implicated in the mysteries as well as the Illuminati.

I also read that yesterday and immediately thought of the Star Wars scientist suicides of the 80's.

Not sure why this site didn't list the original author. (maybe to gain more credibility?) Everything else I've seen says it was an 'expose' by Larry Wichman originally published in HUSTLER, June 1989.

I had not heard about those deaths mudbug. I wonder if people on these occupations have trouble getting life insurance?

Frankly, yes, we do have trouble getting health and life insurance policies, (even under "high risk" catagories), the lowest estimate me and hubby got was 580.00 per mo. ea. (he's a bush pilot), I'm a at risk health care person who is exposed to all manner of stuff going around, AIDS, Hep C,B, and A. Needless to say, we cannot aFFORD INSURANCE. EVEN IF WE MAAKE 30.0000 PER YR. tHIS IS INSUFFERABLE. Our companies have dropped health coverage because of cost. But thank the holy mother, they kept emergency coverage, so that is the only time we can go to the Dr., (an emergency), is covered. How much did we give Iraq to re-build?.. There are children, here, inthe U.S. dying of simple infections when the parents can't afford anti-biotics, and are forced to practice folk cures, (which are pretty darned impressive). Yes they should aget hazard pay ,,, and then some for working on the cutting edge of cures, causes, and even handling the petri dishes. darlene

Wouldn't preventative health care be less expensive, in the short and long run than emergency care?

    Probably so in most cases.

Sometimes [rarely I trust] something happens suddenly .......like an injury or insect bite. I made a couple quick visits for care last summer. I had only been in an emergency room for myself previously once to get checked out for any injury. A clinic to be sewed up a couple times though.
