Need Fridge advice

I'm starting to hunt for a new fridge and am overwhelmed at the choices. I would love to hear some suggestions.

I currently have a Whirlpool side by side that is 25.2 cu feet. Unlike everyone else on the planet, I've never had any problems fitting in a pizza box and I regularly store 1/2 sheet pans in there. They don't sit perfectly flat but that doesn't bother me at all. The problem I have is that with 5 kids, my fridge is always packed to the gills. I'm really looking for something with more fridge space.

We also like having a water dispenser with a filter as our city water is heavily chlorinated and doesn't taste so good. However, we use very little ice.

I've looked at the french door models but there is so many complaints about ice dispenser problems. I'm looking at Samsung, LG or Kenmore (which I think is just an LG) at the 29-31 cubit feet models. Could I turn off the ice and still use it for water and save myself the headaches and potentials problems from this? Is there models with a water dispenser inside the fridge?

I'm also considering the Whirlpool side by side that's 29.2 cu feet but it doesn't have as much fridge space as the french door models (although a couple of cubit feet more than my current one has)

Is one brand going to be more reliable than another? Any thing among my list that I should absolutely stay away from, others that I haven't considered?

Thanks so much for any advice you can share.

Stephanie
