I am looking at the Kitchen Aid Architect KFCO22EVBL. It is a French door style and takes custom panels. Price range appears to be ~$2300-$2700. It appears to be the largest counterdepth in the French door style (21.8 cu ft). If you go w/ a side-by-side you can get a larger size, but I don't think actual frig size will be as big as in the FD style.

I'll be interested to hear what you end up deciding.

I've been looking at the KA panel ready french door fridge myself. Are you aware that the handles don't come with it and they are $100 each and there are 3 of them. Plus the unit itself is more expensive than the ss version. That for me is a deal breaker because then you have to pay your cabinetmaker to make the panels.

I've been doing the research on several fridges myself for a remodel and have decided on the panel ready KA KFCO22EVBL. Depends on your cabinet maker as to the costs of the individual panels but 18' appliance handles are about $110 each depending also on the finish. I finally found one on display today and it was a decent fridge. Nothing like Subzero, of course, but less than half the price! There,of course, with difference in the hinge of the Subzero that pulls the door out a inch or two to prevent the door from touching or scraping the cabinetry. Nice, but not worth an extra $3000.
