American vs. DCS range

After reading through many posts mentioning each of the above, I'm starting this thread to do more of a side by side comparison. We'll be moving into our new home soon and need to decide what we'll be cooking on. Hopefully you can help...

I'm looking for something that's simple (no electronics) and solid. We cook almost every day - a good simmer is important because we do lots of slow cook sauces/soups. We don't do much frying and our grilling is done outdoors, so we don't need tons of power for that, but bringing large pots of water to boil quickly would be nice. A great oven is also really important. I love to bake (cookies, cakes, pies, pastries, etc) and we do homemade pizza at least once a week. I know American has the largest oven capacity and is supposed to be good for baking, but does anyone have experience with both American and DCS to compare oven space difference and performance?

We can fit either a 30" or 36" and the decision might come down to budget. What did you pay for yours?
