It is a little large. I like the idea of a couple of open shelves at the bottom. Could you also (or rather -- up to you) make it slightly (maybe 6") shallower? That would probably make it not look so imposing.

I would also make it shallower. You don't actually need a 24" depth for a linen tower. I have one and it's really not necessary -- 18" or even 12" would do just fine. And I might open it up with some glass doors -- frosted, patterned, art, something that's not plain glass. Does it have to go up to the ceiling? Can you actually reach anything up there? If you bring it down a little it would seem less "in charge".

I'd do a 12" deep cabinet. Do you really need all those drawers or can you replace some of them with shelves for linen storage?

I wouldn't get rid of any drawers, you can never have too many. If you're going to use the space for towels, you'd need 12" to 18". If you're going to use it for other toiletries, you could even go down to 8" or so.

I have a much smaller Master BR than this, and am also designing storage all the way to the ceiling. I am planning on two open shelves (perhaps even glass shelves) for the bottom 18" (will only be 9-12" deep) and definitely glass for the uppers. I only have 8' ceilings, so I'm going to have the upper cabinet be 39" high.

Not that you asked, but I see that you are having banks of 4 drawers for the vanities. Have you planned out exactly what is going into all those drawers? Will you have enough 'small' stuff for 12 drawers?

Are you going to have recessed medicine cabinets? You'd have room to store a lot of bottles/toothbrushes, etc...

I am going through everything I store in the bathroom now, and have concluded I need more space! :>) Am trying to work on getting DH to agree to cantilevering walls... I only wish I had your space to work with!!! :>)

I think if you make the linen closet shallower and you have large/dramatic mirrors and sconces it will look great. I have a linen closet in my laundry room and there are two doors, but it looks like 4. It looks a lot nicer and more balanced, I think. They are actually upper and lower doors that are attached to open together. Does that make sense? The only thing I don't like about that linen closet is how tall the doors are.

Your design is similar to what I did in my master bath -- except my vanity is not as wide; the cabinet is only 12 inches deep. I did break it up with glass. Even so, with our smaller vanity, the cabinet feels a bit monolithic and I wish I'd recessed it a bit.

I love the storage, and I love the feeling of two really distinct spaces, so it's a trade-off I'm happy to accept.

Hi Callaloo! I know you probably weren't looking for suggestions, but in my opinion, the problem lies with the small mirrors you have on either side of the cabinet. If you had larger, unframed mirrors that take up all the wall space above the splash, I think the overall look would be less chopped up and much more dramatic. Your cabinets and countertop are lovely, but somehow the mirrors detract.

What if you put two cabinets in the corner and put the sinks closer together? I actually love Callaloos's setup but your space looks bigger so the sinks wouldn't be too bunched together.

One in each corner, and reconfigure the drawers below to be symmetrical with the tall cabinets.

We've got a similar cabinet to what you're proposing:

We didn't make it a full 24 inches deep; I forget now but it's probably 20 inches. And we chose to break the front up a bit with multiple doors and a drawer.

I think it's up to your personal taste, though. Ours is probably large, but it serves our needs and I like how it breaks up the space.

Here is our vanity. Center is not as deep as counter, I think that helped making the center not feel so big.
