What a creative solution! Since you answered my question,"Where did you get the vanity?" with "I made it", in another thread, I'm doubly impressed. I noticed you were able to save the morror as well. What did you do for lights?

Wow, what a transformation from cutesy to warm and sophisticated! Whoever thought carpeting on the bathtub deck was a good idea must have been smoking something left over from the 60's. LOL. I'd be jumping for joy just to have the carpeting gone. The remodel is gorgeous. Well worth the ordeal of getting it done, I'm sure.

Wow. Great job on that vanity and love the tile.

Well, the lights threw us into a tizzy. The problem is that the box is right smack in the middle of the wall, and there is only one box.

So that meant, to have 2 separate fixtures, we would have to get another box in, and move or cover the existing box.

So, after setting the check book on fire after paying for the shower door ($$$), we decided to just paint the chrome light bar.

We used brownish/bronze hammered texture spray paint, and replaced the bulbs with frosted ones. It looks ok. For the money, it looks great.

We debated on what to do about the mirror. We decided to keep it for a number of reasons:
(1) it is 4x10, and removing would likely have killed me
(2) replacing it with a smaller one would be extra $
(3) we visited a new neighborhood down the road, where the homes sell for >$1M, and I'll be darned if all the bathrooms didn't have gigantic mirrors in them.

Is this a steam shower? IF so, how do you like it?
