Maybe try spraying on some WD-40. I used it to remove some adhesive from my wood floor and it did a really good job. I also was using some Liquid Nails, really strong sticky glue last week. I could not get it off of my hands. I tried the WD-40 after using half a bottle of nail polish remover (unsuccessfully), and the WD-40 took off the glue. Plus, added benefit, it did not damage my manicure!

I had glue on a wall beside my tub. I used a hand steam cleaner to remove the glue without any trouble. It came right off after the glue was soften.

I would try goo gone sold at Linen n Things. Good Luck!

They also sell goo-gone at Ace and sometimes as HD as well.
