Master Bedroom Fireplace

Hi everyone,

We are considering putting a fireplace in our master bedroom. I like the idea, but it seems a little odd to have a fireplace in a carpeted room (does that make sense?). I'm just used to seeing fireplaces in living areas that have hardwood floors or tile. Any comments? Has anyone else done it? Anyone have pictures? Thanks for all of the infinite help I get from this site!

Fireplaces can go in carpeted rooms... all the family rooms of my neighbors - and ours! - are carpeted and have fireplaces.

I have a Master fireplace in a carpeted room. I love it!
We have gas/propane but I open the glass doors and use the screen. Here are some pics!

It would definitely be a gas-log fireplace. Thanks for the pics and advice - I think we'll do it!!

I will have a fireplace in my carpeted master. I think it seems odd too, but I am sure it will be fine. I will have a low pile carpet, so that will help, I think.
