I know it probably looks dated in it's current state, but it could be a really cute space if you play on the colors. If it were me, I'd either use white or go bold and bring in one or two citrus colors. This is caribbean green, zinnia gold, asparagas and poppy glow.

I love that retro look, so would probably keep it myself, but can understand some folks don't and want to move on. Just posting some inspirational pictures for you. If you could post a picture it would help. You might want to paint your walls black and use black or white towels and rugs to take away the overpowering green...but hard to tell till we see your space. But with those colors you could go with a beach theme...shells, coral, bamboo, etc.

I really like that bathroom pictured with the turquoise pedestal sink and tub....

I like some of those retro turquoise and black and pink and black bathrooms too.

Post a picture of yours and it will help but it can't be as hideous as what I lived with for fifteen years....

A great excuse for me to browse for pics, plus I think teal tile is a bold, cool idea.....hope this helps!

I would consider painting it a color that matches the off-white floor tile to start, and then working in accents of other intense colors as suggested above to work with the teal.

I have teal(ish) walls and beige tile. Flip yours to beige/tan walls & towels and teal tile and that may tone it down.

Sue...those towels are from non other than Pottery Barn...so good quality and I have seen them in real life...they are very nice.
