Ronald,

Just curious, where are you planning to build you a buckeye planning to build in Ohio? Couldnt help but notice the Woody reference. I am pretty sure I have something to help you out. Do you have plans drawn yet ? feel free to email me @ bigkahuna9@aol.com

Some of the Home Designer series will provide that information. Check their website to see which packages provide the information. I know the more expensive versions have cost estimating capabilities, but I'm not sure about the less expensive versions.

You will still have to provide the program with local material prices. The program will then calculate the material price bases on quantities reuired by the design. I don't know if any of them handle labor costs.

Here is a link that might be useful: Home Designer Sofware

Thanks for responses !
I currently live in NorthEast Ohio minutes from Lake Erie. I'm looking for land in Knox/Holmes county area to build dream cabin ( small but hopefully surrounded by trees ).

Found a couple of demos - MeanCostWorks.com and http://craftsman-book.com .

Good to see some folks still remember Woody. The only thing he loved more than winning was education.
