They're oval.

Actually, the Verticyl comes in both oval and rectangular. The difference between the Verticyl oval and the Caxton is that the Verticyl has straight sides and a flat bottom and the Caxton is the traditional sloping design. I just went through this decision process myself and got the oval Verticyl because I think the flat bottom is really stylish. I like rectangular sinks too but oval was better for our bathroom design. However, we are using a rectangular sink in our other bath. Nick--you might want to take a look at the Toto Legato if you want a rectangular sink. The sides slope inward--very stylish. I love the Verticyl sink but it does take a bit more care because the straight sides make clean up a bit harder--that would be the same with either the oval or the rectangular. I think that problem will be alleviated with the Legato. Either way, the Verticyl is a great looking sink and has a bit of pop to it. The Caxton is the old reliable design, but in my view, a bit boring.

Well, I totally missed that one! I had just been trying to decide myself between the Caxton and Verticyl (oval), and didn't see that there is a rectangular one. I don't know why they don't put that on the specification sheet with all the other sizes.
Do you have a problem with the Verticyl draining? That was my concern.

I was concerned about that too. It does drain slightly more slowly but it is not a problem. I love the sink. I had never heard of anyone buying it before so I took a flyer but I do think it is great. One thing to note is that because the drain is in the middle rather than the back, the pop up will probably need an extender added to it (no big deal--about five dollars) because the ball rod might not be long enough.

I like the Kohler Ladena. It's rectangular with sloped sides.

I also have the Ladena and love it. I was originally going to go with the Kohler Kathryn but was concerned about cleaning the corners so I switched to the Ladena and am very happy with it.

We have the Caxton ovals in our master and I put a ladena in the guest bath. It is beautiful but just a bit harder to clean. Corners don't swish out as fast as an oval does. Might not matter to you, but just the difference that I noticed. ( oh, and that the oval gives you more counter space)

Decolav 1402 rectangular here. Very pleased.

Another vote for Kohler Ladena. I've been happy with mine.

What size Ladena sinks are you using? 18" or 21 "? This would be for family bathroom. I am thinking of the smaller sink to maximize the counter space.

I prefer ovals as there are so many rectangles in a bathroom that it softens the formality of all the squares.
