I needed a CD fridge and wanted a FD instead of a sxs. (Love those acronyms here!) The ones available in late winter-early spring 2008 were LG, GE, KA, Jenn Air, and possibly Amana or Maytag. I ruled out the JA because it wasn't Energy Star and it was about $500 more than the nearest competitor; the KA because it had a gasket between the doors, which I've heard is a bad idea; and the Amana/Maytag for some similar reason. I ended up with the LG. I've been happy with it so far (my electricity bill went down 20%! I can store a whole pizza box!) but bought it before I discovered this website, and apparently LG doesn't understand American customer service/consumer expectations. HTH.
