I need to buy a new stove and would like to have a smoothtop but due to a medical condition i have,which is Trigeminal Neuralgia,extremely painful spasms in the face sometimes controlled by meds but is still prone to flare ups due to excess heat and humidity,i am usure about a smoothtop.I currently have a dual fuel range but since the condition of my face is permenant i need to sell my stove and go back to an electric.I was wondering if anyone can tell me if they have noticed that the smoothtop gives off more excess heat than an old coil style? which is what i used for 25 years before the dual fuel. Any experiences would be extremely helpful,Thanks so much.
