JMO, but I think you should place the lighting over each mirror if there isn't room for lighting on both sides of mirrors. I would only place it between the mirrors if you had adequate overhead lighting to prevent shadows and unevenness when looking in the mirror. GL!

I think sconces over each mirror will look better than just one double sconce in between the two mirrors. For some reason I'm envisioning that because too focused on the light.

Any chance you could go with slightly smaller mirrors so you would be able to fit a sconce on the outside of each mirror as well?

thank you so much for the follow-up, just noticed the responses. I really really want to be able to fit a sconce on each side but the problem lies in the sinks...due the size of the sink cabinets. I can fit the sconces and mirrors no problem on the wall but the mirrors wouldn't be directly over the sinks. This is where the problems lies. I will measure it again and see if I can make something happen. Does anyone have any photos of individual light fixtures over two separate mirrors? I'm hoping that if this is what I have to go with that i'll still be able to achieve the look i'm going for.
