Has anyone built the Capistrano by Donald Gardner?

Looking for anyone that has built this plan. If so, please share your build experience, pics, changes made, etc. I would also appreciate any suggestions/feedback about the plan. We are located in central GA and will build on a 4 acre wooded lot. The front of the lot faces west and has enough slope which should accommodate a walkout basement. We would be all electric (no access to NG). This will be an energy star build.

Holy Smokes! that is a long way to the toilet in the night from the MBR! It would almost be faster if you were sick (definitely more direct) to run to the other bedroom's toilet.

It look like a nice plan, but I'd rearrange the master bath layout, in particular.

Kirkhall, thanks for the feedback - had not considered the distance to the toilet. Curious though as to how you would rearrange the master bath layout?

I'm currently building this plan. I have made some changes. Altho it may appear on the plan, that the water closet is a long way from the Mstr Bdrm, it really isn't. My opinion is that is not an aspect you would need to change. You may desire to change the whirlpool tub to a free standing soaking tub which is considerably more current ( and yes there are freestanding soaking tub whirlpools).
