contractor advice..

I am ready to go, but still not decided on the contractor. Narrowed it down to 2. Any particular questions I need to ask?
Also, as far as shower, what is the difference between a mud pan, and a copper pan? One contractor said he will use a copper pan, that involves more work, so more money. The other said he uses a mud pan. Not sure how to go?

I should have said, rubber pan, not mud pan!!

No copper. It sits flat on the floor and doesn't have a preslope. You want a mud pack preslope with a waterproof membrane above it. The cheap way is the rubber. The better way would be some type of waterproof membrane like Kerdi, or topically applied waterproofer like RedGuard.
