I am considering a few different vents to put above a 30" Bluestar rangetop. I had mainly been looked at vents with external or inline blowers. But I'm intrigued by the Bluestar vent, which apparently only comes as an internal blower.

I talked to the distributor for Bluestar in my area (Chicago) and he said the vent probably would be slightly louder than one with an external blower.

So I'm curious to hear from people who have the Bluestar vent (esp the 1200 cmf blower). Do you find it particularly loud?

Was the potential noise a factor in your decision to buy, or not buy, this hood?
