steam from microwave drawer?

I have a new microwave drawer and I've noticed that steam escapes not only from the vent in the front bottom of the unit but also along one of the sides, getting the wood cabinet and nearby cabinet door very wet from the condensation. Is this a normal place for steam to escape? Won't this harm my wood cabinet over time?

I have the same issue! Really nervous that it ruin all wood cabinets and floors

Not sure where the steam is coming from - I have a Sharp microwave drawer and haven't noticed any steam at all (some condensation inside the drawer, but nothing coming out).

Off topic question for those that have microwave drawers. How do you clean them? Seems it would be hard to reach all the nooks and crannies that seem to get spatter regardless of care we take using our ovens.
