My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.
We just purchased four 1/2 acres and plan on building within the next year (if we can sale our current home) and my wife and I have looked at hundreds and hundreds of plans but the one we keep coming back to is the Forest Glen plan of Gary Ragsdale. Has anyone here built this home and can you give advice on what you would do differntly, if anything. Any pics would be great.
I am attaching the link Looks like a nice house but my personal preference, is to have an independent back entry (mud room). I think it is not nice to enter the house thru the laundry - in this kind of house. On the other hand, the kitchen is very far from the garage. Good luck with your build
You have a good point about the garage being so far away from the kitchen. That is the biggest drawback that we have. We LOVE the exterior of the home, but there are some flaws with the interior that we hope we can change.
