Need help with paint colours

We're nearly finished our bathroom reno and would love help picking a paint colour.

Although it's our main bathroom, it's quite tiny. We've chosen porcelain tiles in white with a bit of grey (a marble look). The vanity is white and the counter is Caesarstone in Organic White. We have a white cabinet on the wall and will put a mirror above the sink.

Overall, with the cabinet, mirror and window, there will be very little wall to paint. Please help me pick a colour! We're open to pretty much anything, just no beige/brown tones. Our style is fairly traditional, and the rest of our home has blues, greens and yellows. The bathroom is thr first room we've updated, everything else is a bit on the shabby side!

Thank you!

I just had this same question myself. In the end, I looked at what artwork I wanted to hang in the bathroom and picked a muted lavender that was also used in the paintings. Do you have any colorful art or items you plan to use that you can use for inspiration?

I would avoid anything dark because that will make your small bathroom look smaller, and highly saturated colors will not match the rest of your house. Beyond that, anything will work with the white you have in there.

When we started to renovate our house a friend gave me the best advice I've ever gotten! She said check your closet! I found that I'm not a lover of pattern or pastels! I am a fan of green however! Our family room is stained woodwork, green carpet and comfortable chairs with no pattern. I did that instinctively and I feel good there - much like the clothes I wear.
As we started our bath reno I followed her advice. Back to the closet! If you have colors you like in your closet and the rest of the house - stick with those. In your mostly white bath you could bring in most any color you like!

In my mind I see a shade of grey looking beautiful.

The good thing about paint it is the most flexible choice you need to make - particularly since it is only a small area- if you paint it and don't like it, paint it again!

I second the gray vote..love love..! We painted our master bath BM Horizon, stunning with all that white :)

    Good luck on your choices!

I think a gray sounds wonderful too. I'd also suggest posting your question, with pictures if at all possible, in the Home Decorating Forum. There are some really helpful and knowledgable color experts hanging out there!

We have two almost all white bathrooms and went with grays for both of them. The guest has a very neutral silvery gray (Behr Dolphin Fin) and our master has a rich bluey-greeny gray, BM Sea Haze. The Sea Haze is a wonderful multi-dimentional gray that looks bluer or greener or grayer depending on the lighting/time of day.

You might consider a wallpaper - I was astonished how the wallpaper in my teeny powder room made the room look bigger - it sort of blurs the surface and makes you think the walls could go back further than they do. It's an airy, rambling, overall pattern.

i love organic white, we just put it in our laundry room! With the white cabinets, white counter, there was very little paint to show through so we chose a rich color that coodinated a couple shades deeper than the rest of the beiges in the house, and the slate floor as laundry is very open with the rest of the house. We did Ralph Lauren Soho. Really love it.

I think with organic white you can do almost any color and will looks great. I do think a bold color lookss great.

    Maybe a blue/grey color?
