If you have experience with this cooktop, can you please comment on whether or not the hot surface indicator light truly works? In appliance store, when using the live cooktop, we noticed that the indicator light went on as soon as we turned on a burner. Which is good. But it also went off pretty soon after we turned off the burner. Which is bad. The burner surface was still pretty hot...hotter than is safe to touch.

Manual says it stays on till surface is cool enough to touch...but that was definitely not the case. How does yours work?
