Wolfe In-line blower question... please help.

Hi all, I am currently getting a house built, and new to the world of kitchen appliances and accesories.

I recently purchased a 36" wolf range with charboiler and a 36 inch pro wolf hood to go along with it, the sales person reccomended me purchasing an 1100 cfm inline blower, because he felt it woulbe be the best for my setup based on his experience.

I recieved all my appliances on saturday, and i brought the blower over to my builder to install pre dry wall. He told me that there is no way the inline blower could be installed because the instructions state they should go between the ceiling joist, which are 16" apart, but the inline blower is 18"x18"x24". Does anyone have any suggestions on how to install the inline blower or should i go ahead and return it for an internal blower?

p.s. some background information of the setup..

9' ceilings, with a 3-4' duct run up to the ceiling from top of hood, then 90 degree bend straight out to the external wall.

any and all help would be very appreciated...

Thank you much!!

Tony

p.s.s

Has anyone done an inline blower covered in a soffote(spelling?) and then had it covered up with a stainless steel shroud?
